I must admit I never thought we’d be joining the ranks of the social media elite, but here we are. Few airports seem to have jumped on this new media bandwagon so I think we’ll all be learning as we go.
So why did ADS build this blog? Surely not because we have lots of extra time to kill, because the one thing I’ve noticed is that blogging is time consuming … and doing it well takes even longer.
No, I think we did this because there are a wealth of issues that we as airport management can engage with you are users on, from the most simple like what’s happening on the field itself, to some of the inner workings of some of our tenants – assuming they want to share some of their operations with the rest of the world of course, to some of the hot topics in business aviation that affect all of us, like carbon and noise emissions.
We’re planning on starting out slowly here, sort of crawling before we walk. We’ll post some stories that we think readers will enjoy, but we also hope you’ll talk back … tell us what you’re interested in hearing about business aviation in the Dallas area. Have an interesting photo or video you’d like to share? Send it along. Have a tip or a link to an interesting online business aviation resource … send that too and we’ll share it with the rest of our readers.
Finally, a blog is only as valuable as you the reader finds it to be. If you like what we’re up to, please pass along the URL for the blog to others.
Thanks. OK, first post down. Time to think about the next one already!
