Another full closure of the Dallas North Tollway in Plano, and various northbound main lane and ramp closures in the Addison area are needed as work on the DNT Improvement Project continues this weekend, August 18 – 21. These closures are needed to pour the concrete deck for the new south-to-northbound U-turn at Legacy Drive.
Various northbound main lanes and ramps will be closed between Keller Springs Road and the President George Bush Turnpike. Crews in this area will complete the asphalt overlay and re-stripe the northbound lanes into their permanent configuration, including the extension of the fourth lane from the Trinity Mills Road exit to the PGBT exit.
Planned closures in the Addison area are:
8pm on Friday, August 18 through 5am on Monday, August 21 (Continuous closure)
- Various northbound lanes from Keller Springs Road to the President George Bush Turnpike
NOTE: A minimum of one lane will be open to traffic at all times.
8pm on Saturday, August 19 through 5am on Monday, August 21 (Continuous closure)
- Various northbound entrance and exit ramps between Keller Springs Road and the President George Bush Turnpike
NOTE: Only one ramp will be closed at a time. Changeable message signs will be placed prior to lane closures in the construction area. Law enforcement officers also will be on duty to assist motorists.
You can find planned closures in the Legacy Drive area here.
All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary. Delays are expected, and motorists are urged to use caution in the construction area. For traffic updates, follow @TollTagTidbits on Twitter.
